Welcome Don Haislet, General Manager Coating Materials, a Division of Tico Titanium, Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Donald G. Haislet as General Manager. Don will report directly to our President, Gary Johnson. Don comes to Tico with over 20 years of experience in the vacuum coating industry, which includes sales, market development and new product introduction. His industry knowledge and skill sets encompass a wide range of positions and attributes that will help build a strong marketing and sales force for our Coating Materials Division. Don comes to us from Applied Materials Inc., Santa Clara, CA, where he most recently held the position of Global Product Manager, Glass Spares and Service. During Don's tenure with Applied Materials he held positions in Contract Estimating, Project Engineering, and Sales Manager, Glass System Upgrades and Spares. He successfully assisted in the launch of the VAC-MAG® , rotatable endblock, and most recently assisted with the process of integrating the Applied Films Customer Service and Sales groups into the Applied Materials family of products. Although living in California for most of his life, Don is a native Michigander. After graduating from Plymouth Salem High, MI, he attended IT Technical training in Chanute, IL, via the USAF, and was subsequently stationed at the Air Force Satellite Control Facility in Sunnyvale, CA. After receiving his honorable discharge, Don continued his education through night school, eventually receiving his BS degree in Information Systems at the Univ. of Phoenix, Sacramento, CA. We are extremely pleased that Don has decided to join the Tico team. This new appointment is a direct reflection of Tico's continuing goal to support our customers, and we are confident that his experience and leadership will help us build our Coating Materials division into a top competitor in the coating market place.

On October 1st 2007, Coating Materials (Division of Tico Titanium, Inc) moved its headquarters and Michigan Service Center into a 66,000 square foot facility in Wixom, Michigan. The location of this new facility is approximately three miles northeast of the previous facility in New Hudson. The new facility represents a 65% increase in plant capacity and lies on 10 acres, providing room for future expansion. Equipment additions will include in-house press straightening and flattening, a machine shop with lathes, vertical milling, drilling and tapping capabilities, as well as additional saws and increased waterjet capacity. Tico Titanium also has an office and service center located north of Houston in Oak Ridge North, Texas. |
